Biography
The Aurelia Saxophone Quartet was founded in Rome, Italy, by four young dutchmen in 1982. Since then the quartet has travelled all over the world, recorded over ten CDs, premiered around a hundred works dedicated to the quartet and worked together with artists from all disciplines. The Aurelia is a source of inspiration for many young musicians around the globe.

New Concertseries
The Aurelia Quartet starts 2010 with a brand new concert series in the famous Bethanienklooster in Amsterdam. Three concerts per season, starting off with LOUIS on the 12th of february: an hommage to Louis Andriessen, the most important and influentual composer of the Netherlands in the last 70 years. the second concert is in April, a new collaboration with harpist Lavinia Meijer in The Beaty and the Four Beasts.
